John "Jack" Hemphill, MBA
John "Jack" Hemphill, MBA
Regent Early Careerist Award
Program Manager, Population Health, Rutgers & RWJBarnabas Health

Jack serves as Program Manager for the Rutgers Vice Chancellor for Population Health and Deputy Chief Population Health Officer at RWJBarnabas Health. In this role, he oversees a portfolio of education, research, and clinical initiatives aimed at improving health across New Jersey. Jack co-founded and leads the Rutgers Health Service Corps, an initiative that provides students with hands-on volunteer opportunities, internships, and practicums in public health and health administration.

Jack is passionate about building innovative, student-driven population health programs. His initiatives include a patient navigation program that connects emergency department patients to cancer screening education and appointments — funded by the New Jersey Health Foundation; a colon cancer screening FIT Kit program providing home screening kits to low-income patients at a local Federally Qualified Health Center; and a Narcan distribution initiative that has delivered over 11,000 kits across Rutgers campuses to promote community safety. The FIT Kit and Narcan projects were both presented at the American Public Health Association (APHA) Annual Meeting. Most recently, Jack received an Allstate Foundation grant to launch a Community Health Incubator Program and a Rutgers Democracy Lab grant to engage students in health policy and advocacy training.

He holds a Master's degree in Health Administration, serves on the ACHE–New Jersey Chapter Membership Committee, and is Vice Chair of the Rutgers MHA Alumni Association. Jack remains deeply committed to supporting students and early careerists by creating opportunities for growth and advancement.

I pay it forward by leveraging my connections and network to help students and early careerists find internships, mentorship, and job opportunities — through warm introductions and by creating platforms that make these connections easier and more accessible.
Leilani Vazquez, MHA
Leilani Vazquez, MHA
Regent Mid-Careerist Award
Director, Children's Health Service Line, RWJBarnabas Health

Leilani serves as the Director of the Children's Health Service Line at RWJBH. She exemplifies healthcare leadership through nearly two decades of operational excellence, program innovation, and talent development.

She oversees complex service lines and drives measurable improvements in patient care, team performance, and community outreach. Her career spans leadership roles in pediatrics, cardiology, and oncology; as a member of ACHE, she finds the time to serve as a mentor, very much contributing to the professional growth of emerging leaders.

Her nomination reads, "Leilani's collaborative approach, strategic vision, and dedication to advancing healthcare access and quality embody the values of ACHE-NJ and the spirit of the Mid-Careerist Healthcare Leader Award."

As a healthcare administrator, I am deeply committed to paying it forward by continuously mentoring emerging leaders and fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and excellence.
Timothy J. Hogan, FACHE
Timothy J. Hogan, FACHE
Regent Senior Careerist Award
EVP, Hackensack Meridian Health; President & CEO, Riverview Medical Center

Tim Hogan serves as the EVP for Network Service Lines at Hackensack Meridian Health and as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, NJ.

His impact on health and healthcare delivery in New Jersey has been profound over the last 25 years. He had a hand with the establishment of Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH), in developing system and hospital-level partnerships, including with Memorial Sloan Kettering, and in guiding innovative service lines for improved patient access across the state.

At Riverview, where he has led the leadership team for more than two decades, he is credited with significant transformation and growth, such as creating a team-oriented culture, exceeding clinical care and patient experience metrics, and bringing organizational performance to best in class. In addition, Tim has successfully brought to campus state-of-the-art facilities such as the current donor-funded ED Expansion and the new In-patient Oncology Unit.

Beyond leading his organization to meet performance excellence goals, Tim has contributed to the community's quality of life in several ways. Riverview and HMH have committed to the successful implementation of the Community Health Needs Assessment improvement plan, including addressing food insecurity for patients being discharged. He has served on the boards of Monmouth County Chamber of Commerce, Parker Family Health Center, Monmouth/Middlesex County YMCA, Monmouth/Middlesex Scouting America, Count Basie Theater Foundation, and the New Jersey Symphony.

He is a lifelong learner and takes pride in sharing the value of ACHE with his teams, as evidenced by hosting the HMH Dinner at Congress every year! He has been instrumental in developing the prestigious HMH post-grad Administrative Fellowship Program and has developed several administrative and physician leadership academies to enhance individual career advancement opportunities and support the organization's succession planning goals.

Regent Collaborator Award
General Manager, NJ & NY, LAZ Health CARE

Kevin Skeete is the general manager for New Jersey and New York for LAZ Health CARE, a parking business developer and collaborator who considers his clients and his organization "Partners in Parking™ and Caring."

With over 20 years of experience, Kevin expects his services to be considered as an extension of excellent clinical care and calls his staff "front-line caregivers." He notes that the work of the valet parking attendant is the first and last impression for patients and their families and has a lasting impact on the patient's experience of care.

To assure success in aligning mission and values, Kevin prides himself on promoting employee engagement by leading by example and offering professional development opportunities. He enjoys unsettling emerging leaders by asking, "Where do you see yourself," and then by offering them what he terms "a GPS for career development."

Kevin and LAZ Health have recognized the value of ACHENJ in the development of healthcare leaders. He enjoys collaborating with the Wishes Come True golf outing and other chapter events, much contributing to the chapter's community service goals. In addition, he collaborates with the Chapter by leveraging his network to get additional leaders involved in our cause.

I've been fortunate enough to hold servant leadership roles within an organization aligned with my core ethic of empowerment and paying it forward; this has afforded me the ability to add value to our clients and create opportunities for peers and direct reports.

Justin was selected to participate in the ACHE 2025 Congress in Houston, Texas, as a Program Assistant. Closer to home, he serves on the ACHE–New Jersey Membership Committee, where he recently became Co-Leader of the Recruitment and Retention Subcommittee, engaging new members and fostering a culture of connection and professional growth. One colleague wrote, "My experience with Justin began through a simple LinkedIn message, but it was immediately clear that he possessed a rare combination of authenticity, professionalism, and passion for healthcare leadership. Justin is the reason I became an ACHE member."
