FACHE Requirements
Six milestones on the road to board certification in healthcare management.
ACHE Membership
Be a current Member, Faculty Associate, or International Associate with at least one year of membership tenure. Student Associate membership does not count toward tenure.
Advanced Degree
Earn a master's degree or other post-baccalaureate degree. A copy of your diploma or final conferred transcript is required.
Healthcare Management Experience
Currently hold an executive healthcare management-level position and have a minimum of five years of healthcare management experience. A job description, organizational chart, and resume are required.
References
Obtain two references: a structured interview, in person or by phone, with a current Fellow; and a second reference from another current Fellow or a senior leader at your organization.
Continuing Education
Earn 36 continuing education credits in the three years before applying: at least 12 must be In-Person Education, up to 24 may be Virtual-Interactive Education, and up to 12 may be Qualifying Education.
Board of Governors Exam
Pass the Board of Governors Examination in Healthcare Management, a comprehensive assessment of healthcare leadership competencies.
